Ganesh season in Goa

A culturally important time marked by family traditions and community celebrations.

Ganesh Chaturthi is one of Goa's most important celebrations. Visitors may notice festive decorations, local gatherings and changes to traffic or business hours during the period.

The Goa government has identified immersion occasions on 15 and 18 September 2026, followed by Anant Chaturdashi on 24 September. Guests should experience public celebrations respectfully and avoid treating private rituals as tourist attractions.
